Woman pleads not guilty in husband's death

ST. CHARLES, Ill. Forty-five-year-old Sherrieann Remsik-Miller was arraigned Friday in Kane County Circuit Court before Judge Grant S. Wegner. She faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted of solicitation of murder, a Class X felony.

Police say Remsik-Miller offered to pay someone to kill her husband of about eight years. The two were separated but had not filed for divorce when she was arrested in late August.

Public defender David Kliment says Remsik-Miller would undergo mental health evaluations before proceeding to trial.
