Chicago area breaks early voting record

Early voting records were broken in both Cook County and the city of Chicago Saturday, on day six of early voting. More than 9,000 suburban voters cast ballots, while more than 11,000 people in the city voted early Saturday.

Early voting continues until October 30. The grace period for voter registration ends on October 21, which is Tuesday.The Cook County Clerk's Office will have extended hours to accommodate the last minute rush on Tuesday.
