The dollar coin campaign will be promoted through television, radio and Internet ads.
The U.S. Mint has also developed partnerships with banks and retailers to give the coins out as change.

The U.S. Mint has launched a program promoting the use of the presidential dollar coin.
It says coins help protect the environment because they last longer than dollar bills. They are recyclable. And the government says using them would save tax dollars.
