Store owner assaulted, robbed

The owner of a Mundelein clothing store was assaulted, robbed and tied up by three men Wednesday afternoon, according to police.They say the three assailants entered El Guerrero Western Wear at 678 South Lake Street just after noon.

One of them had a handgun. They hit the 52-year-old owner on the head twice, and after tying him up, put him in a changing room.

He remained there for about 15 minutes as the suspects took cash and left.

The suspects were identified only as three male Hispanics. The owner was not seriously injured and refused medical treatment.

There were no customers in the store at the time.
