Blood types don't match, but kidney transplant recipient doing well

Barbara Cullen had been waiting for a kidney transplant for three years. She and her sister Mary Beth were a genetic match, but the blood types didn't match, so doctors at Georgetown University tried an incompatible kidney transplant which involves "cleaning" the recipients blood.

Six weeks after surgery, Cullen is ready to head back to work.

Only 50 of these type of transplants have ever been performed in the U.S.
