Obesity could delay MS diagnosis

Researchers from the University of Manitoba studied the records of nearly 9,000 people with MS. They compared those who were obese or those with conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure to people without those conditions.

Researchers found it took up to 10 years longer to diagnose MS in people with other health problems or in those who were obese. They also found that the more medical problems a person had the more severe the MS had become by the time they were diagnosed.
