Peterson in court on gun charges

The former Bolingbrook police sergeant is charged with felonies for allegedly having a modified assault rifle that violates state law.

Peterson is the only suspect in the disappearance of his wife Stacy last year.

Prosecutors say an arrest in that case and in the death of his third wife, Kathleen Savio, could be near.
