Naperville police investigate carjacking case

NAPERVILLE Officers report an 18-year-old male victim had pulled out of his garage when he was stopped by three men in a black Jeep Patriot.

Police said one of the offenders revealed a semi-automatic handgun and used it to strike the victim on the head. Police say the suspects then drove off in the victim's vehicle, a white 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix.

Both vehicles were last seen traveling eastbound on Ogden Avenue near Chalet Road.

The victim was transported to Edward Hospital, and his injuries were not considered life threatening.

Naperville police are searching for both vehicles. The suspects' vehicle is described as a black Jeep Patriot with a broken tail light and a temporary registration plate. The stolen vehicle is a white, 2004 four-door Pontiac Grand Prix with tinted windows, sun roof and large chrome wheels.
