Delicious Results from "Best in Dough"

We appreciate every one of you who sent us a recipe and story about your special cookie. We think you will enjoy our picks for the top three entries. They come from Karen Whitfield, Joy St. Pierre and Paul Habas.

Karen Whitfield of Highland, Indiana submitted a recipe for "Bite-size Butter Lunchroom Cookies." If you went to a Chicago Public School you probably know all about "lunchroom cookies." They are legendary. Karen shares this delightful cookie with her friends, family and co-workers each holiday season.

Joy St. Pierre from Naperville submitted her recipe for "Allergy-free, Earth-friendly Pumpkin Spice Cookies." Joy started making these cookies about two years ago when her daughter was diagnosed with an allergy problem. These are a vegan treat free of the eight most common food allergens.

Our other top entry comes from Paul Habas from Crest Hill. It's a Kolaczki recipe. Paul's Mother taught him how to make these when he was a young boy. He has been making them every year in her memory since she passed away.
