Children receive toys for fire safety knowledge

Firefighters quizzed children about what to do during a fire and awarded them with toys at Independence Boulevard Seventh Day Adventist church.

In addition to learning about carbon monoxide detectors and smoke alarms, about 400 kids received Christmas gifts.

The Chicago firefighters appeared to enjoy the celebration as much as the children.
