A teenaged driver has been cited in connection with a crash that killed one of his passengers. Eighteen-year-old Christopher Campos of Round Lake Beach died when the SUV he was riding in slid off the road and slammed into a pole.

The crash happened about 8:40 Sunday night on Rollins Road in north suburban Grayslake.

Police have cited the driver for driving too fast for conditions. He and another passenger were hurt but their injuries were not life threatening.

All three teens attend Round Lake High School.
