A study just released in Indiana may help win support to ban smoking in the state's casinos. Purdue University researchers tested the air in riverboat casinos. Contamination inside where smoking is permitted was 14 times higher than outdoors. The study indicates it can take just minutes for those sensitive to smoking to develop symptoms.

In Illinois, casino revenues have reportedly dropped since a statewide smoking ban went into effect last year.
