Mayor Daley may be considering CTA Pres. Ron Huberman for the top job with the Chicago Public Schools.Sources tell the Chicago Tribune that Huberman could replace Arne Duncan, who has gone to Washington to serve as education secretary in the Obama administration.

Mayor Daley did not confirm the Huberman report Saturday. He only said that he has talked to a number of people about the job. Friday, Daley told the Tribune that one of the people he has spoken to is Barbara Eason-Watkins. the chief education officer for the Chicago Public Schools.
