Criminal charges have been dropped in Alabama against former Chicago alderman Dorothy Tillman. She was arrested in March of last year in Montgomery while visiting her aunt at Jackson Hospital. Surveillance video of the arrest was released by the hospital.

Tillman was charged with trespassing after police say she became disorderly. She says she was upset because the hospital would not turn over the medical records of her aunt.

She was convicted in October but won an appeal. The charges were dropped before a second trial began.

Jackson Hospital released a statement saying it regrets the incident.
