Chicago Olympic team makes pitch for Games

March 31, 2009 (CHICAGO) Team members talked about the bid and its effect on Grant Park and Northerly Island. They also took public input on Chicago's plans for the games.

The International Olympic Committee is about to get a first hand look at those plans. The IOC's evaluation commission arrives Thursday for a week long visit. Demonstrations are planned the same day.

The Chicago Police Union will picket City Hall to protest the city's decision to yank a proposed pay raise off the negotiating table. And a group called No Games Chicago will rally at Federal Plaza.

On Sunday, the evaluation commission will take a ten hour tour of the proposed Olympic venues.
