Taste of Chicago to downsize

The Taste of Chicago is cutting back but it is not a result of the recession.Fifteen percent fewer food vendors will take part in the ten day event.

Taste organizers say they're trimming the number of restaurants to improve traffic flow. They're also encouraging restaurants to offer healthier options. Vendors will be required to offer at least two 'taste of' portions which are smaller and less expensive menu options.

More than six million people visit the ten day festival every year. It kicks off on June 26.
