There are reports that a congressional ethics board has launched a preliminary inquiry into Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. The Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that the office of congressional ethics is reviewing Jackson's actions in his bid to be appointed by then-Governor Blagojevich to the US Senate seat vacated by President Obama.

The panel has asked former members of Blagojevich's staff to turn over documents, e-mail and any correspondents involving the congressman or his staff.
