Christians celebrate Holy Thursday

Many Christians around the world are observing Holy Thursday, commemorating the Last Supper. The day is sometimes symbolized by the washing of feet which represents Jesus' instruction to the apostles to conduct themselves as servants.

Francis Cardinal George did just that tonight at the Holy Name Cathedral Parish Center.

Worshippers attended a midday service at the First United Methodist Church in the Loop.

The Last Supper is the meal the faithful believe Jesus Christ shared with his apostles before his crucifixion on Good Friday and resurrection on Easter.
