Police: Man wanted gun to kill family

April 19, 2009 (WINTHROP HARBOR, Ill.) Police in Winthrop Harbor said Charanjit K. Sharma, 44, was looking to buy an untraceable firearm to kill his wife, her relative and a third person.

Sharma was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm from which the manufacturer's serial number was removed.

A court date for Sharma has not yet been set. He is currently in jail.
