Fire damages 3 buildings, injures 1 woman

A South Side fire leaves one woman injured and forces up at least a dozen residents out of their homes early Friday. Flames first broke out after 2:30 a.m. in a house, in the 8000-block of South Paulina. It spread to two adjacent buildings.

It took over an hour to put out the fire. A 36-year-old resident suffered from smoke inhalation.

All of the buildings had working smoke detectors.
