It destroyed four homes and damaged two others.
Now, the Little Village Community Council has established a fund to help the victims.
One man who lost his home has nine children. Another says he's a computer technician and was looking for a job.
"Unfortunately, we lost everything and we really need the community to help us get back on our feet" fire victim Jorge Gutierrez said.
The Fund is at Metropolitan Bank at 3522 W. 26th Street in Chicago for those who wish to contribute.
