Man stabbed on Pace bus after altercation

April 22, 2009 (CHICAGO) The #352 Pace bus was traveling down Halsted toward the south suburbs when two passengers began fighting near 95th Street.

Witnesses said it started when a younger passenger harassed an older passenger. They say the older man stabbed the younger passenger. The driver stopped the bus and called police.

"I guess the older gentleman couldn't take it no more. He jumped on the little guy and tried to stab him in front of the bus. I was like, 'Oh, my God,' like everybody else," said one passenger.

The young man ran off the bus. But he didn't get far. He's hospitalized in good condition.

No charges have been filed in the case.
