She was found dead in a bathtub in 2004. Originally investigators ruled her death an accident. After Peterson's fourth wife disappeared, a second autopsy was done. Investigators ruled that Savio's death was a homicide.
Friday morning Savio's two sons with Peterson appeared on CBS's The Early Show.
"I would say that he's the greatest dad in the world. Not a lot of people know that. People see the news all the time and what everyone has portrayed him to be. But to our family, no one could ask for a better dad," Thomas Peterson, 16, said.
The attorney for the Savio family also appeared. He said if the lawsuit is successful, Savio's assets will go to her children.
