O'Hare takes precautions to protect travelers

May 1, 2009 (CHICAGO) Public announcements are being made on a regular basis, reminding travelers to cover their coughs and to wash their hands.

Congressman Peter Roskam, whose district includes O'Hare, met with airport officials on Friday and learned authorities are also keeping an eye out for anyone with visible signs of the virus.

"If there is someone who is looking a little gamey the airport authorities are going to approach that person and with a light tap on the shoulder maybe say look, maybe you need some assistance and we are here to help," said Rep. Peter Roskam, (R) 6th Congressional District.

There are also posters up all over the airport, listing the symptoms of the H1N1 flu virus.
