Bond was denied Saturday for a man and woman charged in the shooting death of a store owner in West Humboldt Park. Michael Norton, 55, had been tied up and shot in the head.

The store had been operated by Norton's family for decades. He inherited the store from his father, a Chicago police officer.

Elvin Payton and Beatrice Rosado are both charged with first degree murder.

The two are scheduled to appear at a preliminary hearing Monday.
