Andy Shaw new director of BGA

May 26, 2009 Former ABC7 political reporter Andy Shaw is the new executive director of the government watchdog group.

The 86-year-old bi-partisan organization was formed to fight corruption, inefficiency and waste in government.

Shaw says 25 years of covering politics at ABC7 makes him well-suited for his new position.

Shaw retired from ABC7 in January. He replaces Jay Stewart who left the BGA to work for Gov. Pat Quinn.
