Students create human food chain

Hundreds of middle school students in a northwest suburb formed what they called a human food chain Friday. Students and staff at Thomas Middle School lined up along several streets in Arlington Heights to pass along donated food items which will be given to the Wheeling Township Food Pantry.

They hope their human food chain will spark a chain reaction of kindness for others.

Student leaders will also help with the final packaging and delivery to the food pantry.
