The man was taken into custody. No charges have been filed.
Both officers were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Calumet Area detectives are investigating the incident.
Man with chainsaw injures 2 cops
June 1, 2009 (CHICAGO) The officers were responding to a burglary in progress on the 8200-block of South Halsted when they were confronted by a man with a chainsaw, according to police. The man proceeded to injure the officers with the chainsaw.
