Eating out could cause weight gain

June 2, 2009 The report is in the nutrition action health letter which is published by the Center for Science in the Public Interest.

.It says meals on the menus at Applebees, T.G.I. Fridays, The Cheesecake Factory and Chili's often contain about 2,000 calories.

The report says Chili's big mouth bites contain more than 2,300 calories and 38 grams of fat.

The Cheesecake Factory's fried macaroni and cheese has almost 1,600 calories and 69 grams of fat.

The report says large portions, appetizers the size of entrees and deep-fried dishes are to blame.
