Chicago motorists busted by red-light cameras may soon be going to traffic school. At Wednesday's city council meeting, Alderman Ed Burke introduced a proposal for a new red-light education program.

The proposed ordinance would require red-light runners to complete a training program at a cost of $25, in addition to getting slapped with a $100 fine.

Last year, red-light cameras generated nearly $45 million in Chicago.
