Chicago's drop off centers for recycling

June 11, 2009 (CHICAGO) Blue Drop-Off Centers were created to give residents in these transitional areas a temporary recycling replacement for the Blue Bag which is no longer in use.

With the exception of yard waste, these regional recycling stations will accept all of the same commodities that go into the Blue Cart. This includes plastic, metal and glass containers as well as paper and cardboard.

The following drop off centers can be used seven days a week during daylight hours:

  • 17th District Police Station 4649 N. Pulaski
  • Horner Park 4201 N. California
  • Riis Park 6241 W. Wrightwood
  • Hermosa Community 4619 W. Homer
  • Kosciuszko Park 2732 N. Avers
  • Notebaert Nature Museum 2430 N. Cannon Drive
  • Household Chemicals Computer Recycling Facility 1150 N. North Branch
  • Old 10th District Police Station 1952 W. 23rd St.
  • Chgo Center for Green Technology 445 N. Sacramento
