Chicago's drop off centers for recycling

Residential customers who are not yet on the Blue Cart system can take recyclables to 30 Blue Drop-Off Centers around the city. Blue Drop-Off Centers were created to give residents in these transitional areas a temporary recycling replacement for the Blue Bag which is no longer in use.

With the exception of yard waste, these regional recycling stations will accept all of the same commodities that go into the Blue Cart. This includes plastic, metal and glass containers as well as paper and cardboard.

The following drop off centers can be used seven days a week during daylight hours:
