Former student charged with stalking professor

A former Harold Washington College student has been arrested and charged with stalking her former professor and threatening her with a crowbar.Forty-eight-year-old Shirley Williams was charged with felony stalking and aggravated assault.

Police says Williams allegedly went to her former professor's South Side home Sunday morning and caused a disturbance.

Police transported Williams to Saint Bernard Hospital for a psychological evaluation. After being discharged, she allegedly went back with a crowbar. The professor was not injured.

Williams is being held on $90,000 bond.
