Soy Recipe

  • 1 individually wrapped chai tea bag
  • ½ cup hot water
  • 1 cup light vanilla soy milk
  • ½ cup apple cider
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cinnamon stick (optional garnish)
  • Directions

    In a coffee mug, add chai tea bag and hot water. Steep for 5 to 10 minutes until water turns dark amber. Remove chai tea bag. Set aside. In a small saucepan heat soy milk, apple cider, honey and cinnamon over medium heat, stirring frequently, until frothy (about 10 minutes). Add steeped chai to sauce pan and mix. Serve in a large mug. Garnish with cinnamon stick, if desired.

    Makes two 8-ounce servings 3 grams protein from whole soy per serving
