Exelon to cut 500 jobs

Exelon, the parent company of Commonwealth Edison, plans to cut 500 jobs to save money.Most of the layoffs are support positions at its Chicago headquarters. One hundred others are management jobs.

Exelon says the moves are part of a major cost-cutting program that will save the company $350 million next year.
