Dozens ill after fumes released at Indiana water park

June 22, 2009 (SANTA CLAUS, Ind.) Highly concentrated levels of bleach and muriatic acid were sent into the Bahari River waters at Holiday World.

The park's president says lifeguards pulled everyone out of the ride and closed off the area.

A new electrical interlock system is now being installed so if one pump stops working the chemicals will automatically stop feeding.

Forty two people were hospitalized with breathing trouble.
