3 heat-related deaths in Chicago area

June 27, 2009 Among those who died is a 10-year-old girl who died Thursday of heat stroke. Cerebral palsy was listed as a secondary cause of death.

Also, a 59-year-old woman was found in her Chicago home Thursday night. The temperature inside her home was said to be extremely high. She reportedly died of heat stroke and heart problems.

In south suburban Crete, a 32-year-old man died collapsed and died Thursday. Authorities say he was working outside when he became light headed and collapsed. An autopsy found he also died from heat stroke.
