The crash involved a taxi cab and a grey Lexus. They collided head on. Both drivers were killed.
Two passengers in the Lexus were also injured, one of them, 23-year-old Octavio Carrera of Palatine, later died at Good Shepherd Hospital. There were no passengers in the cab.
The taxi driver, 51-year-old Jozef Zwalinski of Palatine, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Lexus, 22-year-old Alonso Ramos-Gomez of West Dundee, was also pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident is now under investigation.
