Up to 40 involved in fight at S. Ind. high school

June 29, 2009 (EVANSVILLE, Ind.) No serious injuries were reported among students in Monday morning's fight, although school district spokeswoman Marsha Jackson says one teacher suffered a blow to the head and was taken to a hospital for observation.

Jackson told the Evansville Courier & Press that fight apparently stemmed from a fight between two boys at the city's Boys & Girls Club on Sunday. She says the same two boys exchanged words and began fighting again between class periods at Central on Monday, and other students joined in. She says the dispute involved "relationship-oriented topics."

No disciplinary measures have been announced.
