Inflatable Baby Floats recalled due to drowning hazard

July 2, 2009 (WASHINGTON) Aqua-Leisure has recalled about 4 million baby floats due to a risk of drowning. The report warns leg straps in the seat of the float may tear, which can lead to children unexpectedly falling into the water.

The floats have been sold at major retailers nationwide, including Target, Toys 'R' Us, Wal-Mart, Dollar General, Kmart, Walgreens, Ace Hardware, and Bed, Bath & Beyond from December 2002 through June 2009.

For additional information, consumers can contact Aqua-Leisure toll-free at (866) 807-3998 between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or visit the firm's Web site at www.aqualeisure.com . A complete list of products being recalled can be found at cpsc.gov .
