Less steaks on the grill this holiday

July 3, 2009 Analysts say unemployment and the recession are controlling spending habits and the cost and size of holiday meals will be down from years past.

More people are opting for lower-priced items like hot dogs and hamburger patties, instead of tossing a steak or some shrimp on the grill.

Experts say the Fourth of July and Memorial and Labor Day weekends are the best times of the year for butchers.
