July 15 deadline for city stickers

July 14, 2009 (CHICAGO) By Wednesday, July 15, Chicago city stickers must be displayed on car windshields. That's also the deadline for buying them.

If drivers pick them up after the deadline, there's a $40 late fee.

Motorists caught without one could get a $120 ticket.

The stickers are for sale at any of the three city clerk's offices or a Department of Revenue substation.

Currency exchanges also sell the stickers-- but they do charge an extra fee.
