Black to remain in prison during appeal

Former newspaper mogul Conrad Black will remain in prison while he appeals his fraud conviction to the U.S. Supreme Court.Black, 64, was convicted here in Chicago back in 2007 on charges that he siphoned off millions of dollars from Hollinger International when he served as CEO.

The high court has agreed to hear Black's case but would not grant his request to be released on bail. Black has served 15 months of a six-and-a-half year sentence in a Coleman, Florida, prison facility.
