Piccolo is one of 82 schools joining a year-round calendar this school year. Students still have eight weeks of summer vacation, but experts say the shorter break will help students retain what they learn.
School officials remind students about classes
July 20, 2009 (CHICAGO) CPS CEO Ron Huberman and others went door-to-door Monday, reminding students near Brian Piccolo school on North Kostner. They also handed out backpacks with schools supplies.
