Chrysler to double gov. cash incentive

July 22, 2009 The automaker announced this morning it will offer up to 45-hundred dollars on most of its 2009 Chrysler, Dodge or Jeep models. That is on top of the government's $4500 rebate program, which is expected to begin later this month. The program encourages people to trade in old gas guzzlers for new, more efficient cars. Chrysler is also offering zero percent financing for six years. The incentive begins on Thursday and lasts until the end of August.

Even if you don't have a clunker to trade, Chrysler says you're still eligible for the incentives.
