Extra security measures were in place on Friday night at St. Sabina Church, a week after a shooting outside the church gymnasium.Chicago police were there nd hand-held metal detectors were used to check for weapons.

The church holds Friday night activities each week in an effort to keep kids safe.

Last Friday, two teens were shot after a dispute outside the gym.

Fr. Michael Pfleger said he didn't believe anyone would try to bring weapons into the building on Friday but he wanted to assure everyone they would be safe.
