Huberman has asked the inspector general's office to investigate possible clout allegations at the city's magnet schools.
When asked about the case today, the mayor says it's good that people want to get their children in Chicago Public Schools.
"You have limited magnet schools all over the city. You have to do more of those comprehensive schools, and that's why Ron's doing that right away. You have to do that. But just think: people want for the first time to get their kids in a public school. That is, I mean, that is amazing"
When asked if the situation was similar to the clout case at University of Illinois, the mayor said no.
