Wellington Brown Line stop reopens

July 30, 2009 (CHICAGO) The Wellington Brown Line station reopens Thursday after a 16-month renovation.

The platforms were reconfigured. And a new station house was built, along with a new auxiliary exit just north of the station on Nelson Street.

With the addition of two elevators, the Wellington station now is accessible to customers with disabilities.

The Brown Line carries more than 80,000 passengers each weekday.
