Holy Name to host first wedding since fire

July 30, 2009 (CHICAGO) The bride and groom were there on Thursday night rehearsing for the big day.

Michael DeFranco and Sarah Yoho met while living in Chicago. They have since moved away, but their love for Holy Name remains.

The fire did cause some anxious moments for the couple. But they were reassured, the sanctuary would be complete.

DeFranco wrote a letter of appreciation and that letter apparently became the inspiration for the workers to finish on deadline.

"If it was not for their how much those guys cared about this place and the work they did this would not have been possible," said Dr. Michael DeFranco, groom.

"I'm just extremely excited. I cannot wait for tomorrow...to get married, most of all, but to get married in this magnificent place, it's just a dream come true," said Sarah Yoho, bride.

Holy Name Cathedral will be open to the public for Mass on Saturday.
