Staadt plead guilty in March to holding up three banks. He was arrested in July of last year after leaving a Lincoln Park bar. Patrons called police after recognizing him from surveillance photos distributed by the FBI.

August 5, 2009 Investigators called Michael Staadt the groucho bandit because he wore a fake mustache during holdups. The judge also ordered him to undergo psychiatric treatment in prison.
