Optimists may live longer

Women who are optimistic may live longer and could be less likely to develop heart disease than women with a more negative outlook on life.Researchers studied thousands of women between the ages of 50 and 79.

Findings show that optimistic women were 14 percent less likely to die over 8 years than their pessimistic counterparts.

Also, optimistic women had lower rates of developing heart disease.
